Following a difficult period of economic and political transition in late Summer and early Spring, Newlands Property are pleased to have acted for Moretons Investments in acquiring a substantial multi million pound portfolio of high yielding assets in Swindon, Andover, Southampton and Chichester respectively.
This strategic move into the South West asset markets has been considered for some time by Moretons Investments, with the infrastructure and connectivity of these once tertiary locations, becoming far move prominent with their new direct links to London.
Many investors are shying away from high street retail, however there are still a lot of opportunities within this sector and prime pitch retail will always have a place on the high street. Buildings may need to be reconfigured to suit the current market requirements and trends continue to evolve and change, however with the continued demand for rental properties, the redevelopment of upper parts of these buildings can add additional capital value and further increase the rent roll.
